Shipley finishes 4th at Oakshade Raceway
Colin Shipley continued his pursuit of the Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) track title on Saturday among a field of 23 DIRTcar Late Models.
Shipley set overall quick time in his Domination Race Cars No. 44S machine, then scored a runner-up finish in his heat race on the 3/8-mile clay oval. He began the feature from the fifth spot and climbed one position to finish fourth behind Devin Shiels, Rusty Schlenk and Terry Rushlow. Rusty Smith rounded out the top five behind Shipley.
After Saturday’s program, Shipley remains third in track points, two markers back from second-place Dusty Moore and 57 behind point leader Shiels.
