Shipley finishes 3rd at Oakshade, takes point lead
Colin Shipley made his weekly visit to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) on Saturday to take part in the 3/8-mile track’s DIRTcar Late Model division. Twenty-four entries filled the pit area.
Shipley won his heat race in his Jim White Honda No. 44S, putting him in the fourth-place starting position for the night’s A-Main. Shipley moved forward one spot to take third in the feature behind Rusty Schlenk and Devin Shiels. Chase Burda came home fourth, with Casey Noonan fifth.
Shipley took over the Oakshade points lead with the podium finish and currently sits seven markers ahead of Shiels in the standings.
Shipley Racing had also planned to open its weekend at Attica Raceway Park (Attica, Ohio) on Friday, but the event fell to inclement weather.
